"Love Wisdom Like A Sista"

Don’t turn in pursuit.
Let the brother investigate, without dispute, your Godly attributes.

Let him pursue before he calls you a skank
and another brother gives you the shank.
Chill your clock girl. Be patient.
Spend some time with God.
Thank Him for protection from him who speaks the word, but stanks!

Besides you’re looking for a real man.
A real man knows desperate now
means desperate when the ring is on the finger,
and the bills are coming in.
Your insecurity will bring him much fear. So from your curvy hips, he’ll run now, rather than when
YOU are a bigger headache than the budget and kids.

Trapping is not an option.
You’re married anyway--remember your husband—God!
Don’t bankrupt yourself acting corrupt.
Don’t be fake—trust in Gods’ grace.
Don’t stagnate the brothers’ favor,
by turning the table.
Know that you're what a real man is asking of God—
a good thang!

Your way is foul. Slow your prowl.
The real thang--a good thang,
doesn't steal the peace that comes from knowing that she was chosen.

Girl-
that man you’re coveting might be rank—
that’s wisdom you can take to the bank!

“Love wisdom like a sister;
Make insight a beloved member of the family”.

Dumb blondes are long gone.
Proverbs 31 women live on
aspiring, inspiring, uniting
with God to bring dreams to pass

Wk #5 Homework

Don’t assume by the title that Linda Howard's Sarah’s Child bears any resemblance to the biblical history of Abraham and Sarah. It’s a love story with a twist.

Grieving the tragic death of his wife—Diane, and their two sons, Rome seeks comfort down questionable avenues.

Sarah--Diane's best friend, see Rome's suffering. But, a well kept secret forces Sarah to keep her distance.

At Rome's persistence, Sarah becomes his new wife by means of a non-traditional pre-nuptial.
With patience Sara executes Rome’s stipulations. Then an unexpected breach in agreement drives a wedge between them—deeper than the existing one.

This clumsy union will have you sympathizing with, and crucifying each character.

The title “Sarah’s Child” caught my eye while tagging along with my husband at the ACO Hardware. Boring! Engrossed with his man toys, I departed on my own excursion.

Not expecting to find much in a hardware store, shockingly, I found a hardback treasure wrapped in a lavender book cover that bannered “Linda Howard’s” name in big blue print above the title, “Sarah’s Child”.

Three things had me regretting my $2 purchase: one, “Linda Howard”--never read her before. And two, “Sarah’s Child”--I also thought, “Abraham and Sarah”. Then third, the inside cover seem to readily expose the story line.

However, Linda Howards’ use of words paints Sarah's heartfelt emotions causing you to vent, take revenge, analyze past actions and hopefully bring resolve to your present.

For the married, unmarried, or about to be married, “Sarah’s Child” is an eye opening good read. A woman's treasure--a keeper!

Session #3 Outline

Writers Workshop
Session #3 Homework

“Time Is Holy”
1.      Definition Of Time:
-          An appointed, fixed, or customary moment, or for something to happen, begin, or end. (Merriam-Webster)
-          Precious commodity
-          Idle Time (wasteful hindrance)
-          Designated

2.      God’s Perception of Time
-          Whole
-          “Set Time”
-          Seeking confirmation
Many things impact our walk towards God’s plan for our lives. How we perceive time is the greatest benefactor in hindering our arrival to God’s designated plan. Not considering birth and death, or the test and trials mingled between, we must view time as God, whole or complete, and not institute our own clock.

3.      Time to scour
-          Prey for folly
-          Lather in the word
-          Guard your heart

4.      Destination
-          Lonely Journey
-          Order your time
-          Believe alone (if necessary)

Bio Session #2

Session #2
Writers Workshop

In 1997 via journaling, Lyn—a woman of God, wife and mother of 2 children began her search for a sliver of solitude. Most days, too tense to tolerate the clicking sound of the keyboard, with pencil in hand she’d vent the woes of her day. The blessings of a Godly woman for her was in heaven to come, she wrote and wrote.

After filling pages and pages with intense emotions, blaming everyone and everything for all the disappointment in her life, she finally reaches the inevitable, the day of self judgment.
Under the scourging power of the Holy Spirit, Lyn accepts her responsibility for various misfortunes in her life.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Lyn birth a story that she believes, if every woman—young, or old—read, they too can move beyond the past, regret, and blaming others, and begin to walk virtuously in their authentic God inspired self.

Writers Workshop

Workshop session #3 was great and informative. I've been practicing outlining. . . I think I like it.
